With a height of 70.3 meters, the west tower is a key part of daxing airport, with 20 floors above ground and one floor underground. The total construction area of the west tower is only 3795 square meters, but the total steel amount is more than 3,000 tons, the amount of steel is three times more than the ordinary project. During the construction, there are nearly 30 steel bar columns in the two layers inside and outside the project, each of which has more than 300 steel bars. The welding points are as few as 3000 and as many as 10000. The whole steel bar binding process is just like weaving a net, and even a finger is difficult to insert in the densiest place. Different from other projects, each floor of the construction site is only more than 100 square meters, unable to form water construction. In view of the difficulties, the builders gathered their wisdom and built a total of more than 10 models, and took measures such as structural construction and process equipment installation interpenetration, stratification and closure, and synchronous advancement to constantly solve construction problems and effectively improve the construction quality and efficiency. The project won the first prize of Beijing structural Great Wall cup and Beijing QC group.
